Masters Lacrosse in B.C...
So you're slowing down and you're done playing with the big boys
or maybe you just want to try out the game for the first time because
your son makes it look so easy. If you're 35 or over then Masters
lacrosse is for you.
What is 'Masters'?
Masters lacrosse in B.C. is box and field lacrosse
with limited contact and limited gear played indoors in arenas throughout
the spring and summer and outdoors from fall through spring.
What is the LMML?
The Lower Mainland Masters Lacross league is a new league started up in 2011 that features Masters lacrosse players 35 or older from all over the lower mainland. Regardless of experience or level of play anyone can play.
How Do I Sign Up?
Registration happens at the beginning of each year with first opportunity going to those who played the previous year. Notification goes up here as well as bcmasterslacrosse.com You can send an email to the commissioner as well.
When And Where Does The LMML Play
The Lower Mainland Masters Lacrosse league (LMML) plays most every Sunday night from May through to the end of July at Poco arena. There is an evaluation night in April where players are split up and play a couple games for the team captains to rate as well there is a break for the Annual July year end tourney.
All players are thrown into a draft where the Team Captains will pick their teams just before the season starts. This allows for an even balance on each team.
What About My Regular Team I Play With
You will continue to play other tournaments like the Ice Breaker or Year End BC Masters tournament with your regular team and can play Senior C as well. These drafted teams are for the LMML league on Sunday nights only.
