Ice Breaker Tournament!
North Shore Cowboys Ice Breaker Tourney:  April 10-12, 2008

The North Shore Cowboys are hosting their second annual Ice Breaker tournament to kick off the season here in B.C. Tournament organizer Steve Varley has expanded the lacrosse event to include now eight teams between two divisions.

All eight spots have now been filled featuring two full divisions of A and C level masters teams who will do battle over three days at the Harry Jerome arena in North Vancouver.

Division 1 will hit the floor Friday April 11th and will feature some of the best Master's lacrosse here in B.C. The 2007 defending Masters Champion Ladner Pioneers will have some tough competition when they square off against the Surrey Fire Fighters and new comers the Langley Masters. Traveling across the straight for the weekend will be the Victoria Fire Fighters who will round out the four team 'A' division.

Starting the tournament off on Thursday will be Division 2 with hosts the North Shore Cowboys taking on their arch nemeses the South Fraser Stickmen. Adding to the division will be the Pitt Meadows Ducks and the Port Moody Masters.

Thursday and Friday's games will feature 30 min round robins with the finals scheduled for Saturday where teams will play full 60 minute games. Rosters are due March 15th to Steve Varley and the final schedule should be release soon.
