Masters Tournament

The Okanagan Masters Lacrosse Club is hosting the 28th Annual Western Canadian Masters Lacrosse Championship tournament this year. Sixteen teams from BC and Alberta will be making the trek up to Vernon and Armstrong to enjoy some sun and lacrosse as each team battles it out for their respective division's Gold medal.

Last year the Ladner Pioneers narrowly defeated the Nanaimo Masters in Division #1 play but with only Ladner returning this year they will defend their title against Coasters and the home team Okanagan Spring.

This year they split up the Division #2 into B and C division so with last years Division 2 champions the Surrey firefighters not returning their will be new champions crowned in both B and C division.

In Grandmasters it will be the North Shore Indians once again defending their championship after a close win over the Nanaimo Timbermen Masters team. Both have returned along with Prince George, Coasters and the home town favorite Okanagan Leko.

The tournament will run from Thursday July 1st to July 3, 2010 with playdowns on the Thursday and Friday and the gold medal games on the Saturday.For more information:

Tournament Schedule

The South Fraser Stickmen have announced a four team mini-tournament for Division 2 teams in late July.  For those that don't want to stop playing after the year end Western Masters Tournament you can keep going. 

Mini Tournament will run Friday night where each team will get three mini games that will seat them for the Saturday full 1 hour medal games

First three guest teams to commit get in.  Cooler prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Cost is $500.  Please contact Paul Sparrow
